Thumbs up

Ok,

I think I have one of these this weekend, They haven't told me this, but ALL the signs are there.

Also the two names are both male names..., who knows.

I don't want to appear rude and outright ask them if they are gay or whatever, just in case they are not.

This is a last minute booking I took for this wekend, I have their music sorted out, all other arangements done, and I am also fully paid already.

The only detail missing is are they Male, Female or both same sex (male).

since it;s only yhr reception and music I am providing thre are no introductions etc, except for possibly their first dance and last dance.

so how do I introduce them if they are same sex?

1) Ladies and Gentlmen, The Happy Couple
2) Ladies and Gentlmen, Your Two Grooms
3) Ladies and Gentlmen, Use their first names.
4) Ladies and Gentlmen, I'm open to ideas HERE!

Any ideas, or if some of you know the correct ettiquette here?

What are the names? Could it be that it just sounds like it could be 2 males? I would call the client and ask how they would like to be announced. Then you could probably tell from how they would like it done. I have been wondering how to tap into this market. Does anyone on here have a specific (tool?) that they use to try to get into this market. I went to a wedding/reception like this for a girl i knew about 4 years ago here and they had no DJ or photographer. Just wondering.

I have keywords on my site aimed at what is called "The Pink Pound" market.

I also quote text that I cater for same sex weddings and non-traditional.

The names are "Dominic" and "Linden".

Dominic is definately Male, Linden as far as I know has always been Male, at least every Linden I have known has been.

Also judging from the City they live and the music choices and names, (small place the UK), I'd also say they were of Anglo-African Origin.

Last minute booking so not enough time to meet with them and exchange much info.

I'll be there a few hours earlier than required, so I'll soon get a feel for how things are going or will go.

Would it be possible to ask the couple how they'd prefer to be introduced? How about close friends or family... is there anyone else you could ask?

It's possible they may want no introductions at all. I would ask, though.

I only have email contact with Dominic. So don;t really want to ask him electronically, I'll wait until the reception (tomorrow night) and I'll soon find out if there is a Bride or not.

I have logged them into DJi from the day they booked me (about 2 weeks) and they haven't even bothered to login once to use it, however they did send an dextensive track list via email, but that's all the info I have.

I'm not complaining as it's good money... I'll just take my cues on then night.
