Hello to all,

We just picked up two American DJ Pocket Scan lights with the DMX Controller. We got to demo them on Friday night at a dance we dj'd and they are quite impressive. We didnt have the DMX controller then. We were just wondering what other people's thoughts are on these lights. Some say they aren't that great others have said that they love them. What are your thoughts?

For what they are, I think they're an awesome light! I knew going in that they weren't the brightest fixture on the market but I do a lot of weddings and I don't need to blind people. The laser is pretty much worthless unless the room is completely dark and you have just the right amount of fog/haze in the air. The motors are very smooth and the gobos are cool except the XL. What the hell that is for is beyond me! I run mine with the American DJ DMX Operator II and so far, they have worked flawlessly just like every other fixture that I own by American DJ (36 at last count).

Cool, we have the american dj dmx solo controller for them. Its a beautiful controller, with the XL gobo, that beats the hell outta us. We love them, they seem to work great, they'll be put to the test again this weekend at a dance we're doing. Thanks for the info
