Very true.
The problem is in comparing apples to apples. Will a $ 29.00 Audio Technica mic perform as well as a $ 100.00 Shure or Nady... NO.
When shopping for mics, mixers, speakers, etc., one should look at a manufacturers current market share, that's the amount of the total market for a particular product that one manufacturer owns. In the case of Audio Technica, they enjoy a larger percentage of the market for professional mic products than any of the other manufacturers at this time. It tells me something.
