Default What do you think are the best Amps?

Hey, I decided that I would throw this one out there also. What do you think are the best amps? Peavey, Crown, Mackie? You choose.

Whatever amp that does what it advertises and doesn't blow up at a gig. I have dozens of brands and have some favorites. But a question like this is like asking "what car/truck do you like" EVERYONE has an opinion.

I'm not sure there is a "best" amp.

Sound being subjective, the listner must make up his or her mind as to which amp affords the "type" of sound desired.

Quality amp lines that come to mind are (in no particular order) Crown, Crest, QSC, Mackie, U.S. Music and American Audio.

This concerns me... no one hear mentioned Yamaha Amps. I bought one and this conversation makes me nervous.

I bought a Yamaha P3200. Oh boy...

When you have all powered speakers why do you worry about amps? Really though, I like AB International 3-way amps; have a dedicated channel for subwoofer! Before I went powered speakers AB International was at the top of my list.
