Hi all, I am new to this forum and need some advice. My dual CD player is not playing music on one side. It accepts the disc and shows the track but no sound. Also, I would like to know...what is the best route to go....a laptop or an ipod?
Thanks in advance, DJBIGD

Hey Big D...welcome to DJ Source Online...

Did your Stanton CD Players do this suddenly during a gig???

Check your wires...make sure to check your mixers settings...then if all else fails, call Stanton. It could be a sawtering issue inside the player itself.

As for Laptop vs. Ipod - I believe Ipod can only record songs at 96 - 112 kb (correct me if I am wrong please) meaning less sound quality

As for a laptop setup, there are companies that can set you up completely for around $2500 (sound cards, etc)

www.vjlive.com being among them
