Hello troubleshooters...
I will say that I LOVE my Numark CD Mix 2 and now use it exclusively for my weddings and other events.
That said, I would still like to add a couple of small components with one rack unit each in mind.
Mayb an EQ and BBE.
Any ideas.
Also, I use a custom case made by Electronic Bargains, but wonder if anyone makes anything a bit larger that is still light.

Jim,
Not exactly sure what you're looking for -- a case for your CD Mix 2 plus two rack spaces? The only cases I've seen for the Mix 2 are without rack rails at all.

Ha Ha Ha Rob...
Boy did that wedding totally suck...and it had NOTHING to do with a tuxedo nor my CD Mix 2.
Donny...I'm looking for components to add such as EQ, limiting etc...keeping it small and light...
Rob and I have a major disagreement on this piece of equipment for use at weddings.

Everything in a one space package at a reasonable price for all.
Graphic EQ, Parametric EQ, x-over, compressor/limiter, subharmonic processor, feedback eliminator, RTA and Pink noise, and memory.
But being that it is a Mix 2, I guess a suggestion for the DBX driverack PA would be a little overkill, huh?
Oh..Don't get me started!

Hello Jim Casey,
I wanted to ask you about your Newmark cd mix 2. How long have you had it? Does it work as well as seperate units? Would it be worth trying? My goal is to use the best, lightest, and quickest setup I possibly can. After I saw your post that you use one I started looking on line. They seem nice but without trying one I just don't know. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Jim,
Take a look at the Behringer T1950
It's a Tube (Valve) processor which allows for x-over, fine tuning of the EQ, and also gives what the BBE provides. For those tight roomed gigs it also allows for spacializing the stereo image.
all features are fully controlable and with it being valve gear looks and sounds nice too.
Pretty cheap for what it is, has 12 valves inside it

<span style="color:blue"> My CD Mix II is the easiest way to go. I find that it is very quick for setup and just what I need. Because I use vinyl 45 (in process of copying to CD) it has two phono hook ups with a togle between it and Line. Also there is a 3rd Input (Aux) that doubles as Mic 2. Each Line A and B has it's own EQ adjustment for Low and High that does not affect the primary System setting (Hi, Mid, Low). It also has auto start from Channel A to Channel B which works very well. I have an Odyssey case made specfically for the CD Mix II. Power to the
CD Mix II is via an external power supply.
The loop feature is adequate. Those were the good things.
Unfortunately, I did have to send it back to Numark for an internal board problem about a year after purchase. The service was "no charge" and they paid for the Next Day Air delivery. So, it's best to have a second system around as backup...just in case. However, for easy setup and play and light load...I'm happy!
