Hey guys & Gals!
Well, I think that between my brother and I, we seem to dominate the first page of this forum, lol ... I am out looking to pick up a few more power conditioners. I have a nady pcl 815 and it works pretty well. It eliminates most of the noise in the system, can't complain! I was looking into furman, and from what I can see they seem to be the best. They have been around for a while and have a greaty variety of products, from the affordable to the outta this world 4 rack space power conditioners for the pro's. I think that they are pretty good, but now I want to know what you think of them. Are they good, great, what??? Whats the better series, whats the best for the price. Or is there one better than Furman? Open to anything!

Thanks again for everyones help! We wouldn't be where we are in 1.5 years with out the help that everyone has given us on these forums!

Thanks again,
Andrew Jensen

Hi Andrew,

Furman is the standard of the touring industry.

We are currently running a special on a couple of models of Furman power conditioners, feel free to contact me for more information.

Story time... I have a couple of Furman 20amp PL plus pro, the one with the voltmeter graph and amp meter.
http://www.furmansound.com/pro/pwr_c...cond/cond2.htm

I got to this circa 1901 "Bed & Breakfast" venue. It had all ungounded outlets execpt for 1 single 120v u-ground (Vertical blades) outlet over near a window. Key word Window. I plugged into it and bingo! the Furman let me know the outlet was wired for 220volts. I guess an early 1950 220v Air conditioner used to hang in the window.
I wonder how many entertainers have pluged into that outlet and burned equipment?

The venue owner was an bottom the whole night. On monday I called his city fire inspector to pay this venue a visit.

Well I'd have to say that I havn't had an experience like that yet, but I have had to plug into outlets that have 3 or four oulets in one box and that worries me because i look around the rest of the room and there were lots of other plugs, so I just had to wonder how many are really running off this circuit. I I have a NADY pcl 815 and I definatly love the voltmeter feature. It also lets me know if I am overpowered or underpowerd. Thanks for all the input.

KJDJ,

I use the same unit... It has saved my equipment many times over the years due to under-powered plugs and surges.

Kevin,
Were you able to find an outlet at 110?

Yea, Jim but they where all 2 pole ungrounded. Except that one 3 pole standard 120v that had 220 across the power & neutral poles. Always carry a ground adapter.

Safety Tip!

Note to anyone that didn't know: never cut off the ground blade on a 3 blade plug. Use an adapter and ground the adapter ground lug/wire to the wallplate screw.

Prof.Jam
Or over power This model lets you know the volts before you turn on the zolts to your equipment.
The volt meter /amp meter is great as I run off my generator about 6 times a year.
