Who do you download music from?

I've been using walmart.com for those singles I need. I haven't had a problem with the quality as of yet. Maybe If I was buying this music for myself to enjoy I'd buy the originals. Except for my playing time I rarely list to music.

Your correct Jim, the days of having to spend $15+ for a cd you only get one or two songs from are over, for me anyway. Combined with my subcription to Primecuts I have what I need. This is only my opinion of something that works for me. :tup

I use napster. $9.95 unilmited downloads (cannot burn these to a CD). and 79 cents per burn.

To date (will be a year of subscribing in November), i've purchased about a dozen tracks, and downloaded countless.

It's come in REAL handy, and I've never had an issue with the song quality. (I do preview all the tracks before downloading).

There have very few tracks that I could not get at Napster, and those were not available at the other sites (walmart, etc).

They are pretty current on the new stuff too, and have the CLEAN versions available!

I'm quite satisfied with Napster....

Ahhh... You've hit The Great Compromise: Quality vs Space. Unfortunately, I have to encode to MP3 because that's the only format OtsDJ understands. I've tried various LAME settings, and the one that sounds best on my system is:

44100Hz, Stereo, VBR:64/320kbps, VBR Quality 1, Q=High

I only download music when and IF I really have to...needing a special song and not having the time to go out and buy it. The nearest music store is 50-miles from me! When I do download, I use WalMart. The price is right and I try to pick up several songs at the same time to make the billing worth it.
