maxtors = bad

may be just me but i've dealt with a lot of them and most HDD failures are either maxtor or fujitsu...

I've had bad times with Maxtor int he past, mainly form their support though. Once took me 10 months to have a faulty NEW drive replaced.

I like the IBM drives, never a problem for me personally.

There isn't a drive manufacturer on the market that hasn't had their share of bad drives!

I've had extremely good luck with maxtors, and poor with WD, and then the tables turned!

I remember purchasing WD drives from wal-mart, only to return them because the did not contain a drive,... or a week later, the drive died!

I've recently switched back to WD, as I feel they are now better than maxtor of 4-5 years ago.

I've also owned seagate, fujitsu, and IBM drives.
I've had zero luck with IBM drives! IBM used to be considered the best!

The point here is that things change, and will continue to do so.

DJ Ed,

Jogen the developer of the program you like is speaking and has a seminar during the 2005 Computer DJ Summit giving you a chance to meet the individual who started the whole PCDJ craze..

When you read individuals commenting in amazement the Red was developed for Win98 and never intended for the more recent OS... There is nothing wronge with keeping in your comfort zone with something you like.

Peace

Jim,

That's no fun for your first gig with a computer! Guess murphy's law was in full effect. What did you have as a backup?

Hello Andrew,

Did you ever reply to the emails I had mailed to you and others?

If you did I've not received them and you may want to re-send them to cpsdj2005@gmail.com - I truly hope the miss-communication was corrected other than deleted threads.

Thank You In Advance.

Hey Andrew,
I had my Cds as backup (and probably always will)

It worked out fine and I have had no issues since
