OtsDJ
Pros: Bulletproof code in a small footprint, EXTREMELY STABLE, great sound due to excellent dynamics processing, automated mixing, volume management, fantastic segueing via excellent mix-point detection, smooth sound, good playlist generation
Cons: Doesn't do auto-beatmixing (YET - it's right around the corner...check out OtsDJ Auto-Beatmixing Sample), both decks go through one output channel, only supports LAME encoder

AlcaTech BPM Studio Profi 4.9x.
I'm stupid. It's ease of use out-of-box and friendly familiar graphical user interface (which resembles a Denon dual CD player) eliminated a long learning curve.
I'm stupid. I still don't know how to use all it's features (it's been 5 years with it) but that's okay too. I don't do fancy gimmicky things, partially as I don't want to and partially because I don't know how to utilize or unlock the software's full potential. No excuses except I be igorant.

Does anyone's software automatically generate a "played song list" in an .mu3 or .pls file at the end of your show? In other words, at the end of the night, there's a generated list of every song you played, in the order you played them, that can be edited, saved, and archived?

Apolgies to all for a little deliberately misleading question.
I wanted to point out to your viewers that a self-generated end-of-performance playlist is a very intelligent thing to need and should be a consideration in software tool selection. BPM does have it and it is a political and reputational lifesaver.
