Red face

Are you using a UPS Power Protection and Battery Backup?

What size and brand?

Also, have you had any issues with them?

Would a Far Outlet count as a UPS? Although I use it mainly to power out of range wedding ceremonies

I use a Belkin UPS.

It has enough power backup for about 25mins which should be enough to restore power... after that I use a 5000W Generator.

How much does that unit weigh?

Do you keep it near or is it mounted in the tour case?

I use a Draxworks Technologies UPS.

It is Big & a boat anchor. It is in a tour case, weighs about 80 pounds & will run a basic system configuration including amps for about 5hours.

Yes it is, would anyone NOT rackmount an 80 pound item? That is the only way that makes it movable easily.

I would love to see a picture of that unit Drax.

I have been using a similar weighted UPS from CyberPower. Even though it is rackmounted it is still a bear to transport. Luckily I believe strongly from my production background that every box should have wheels. So it rolls effortlessly. I just hate to lift it when we need to.

This is the unit I am using in 3 different installations with Zero problems.

I noticed Best Buy has them for $250 now. I paid $399 a year ago. I believe I will go pick up another one or two today. This is the best price I have ever seen for a rackmounted UPS system.

The AVR (automatic voltage regulation) is awesome. I have watch brownouts and surges happen and the UPS just beeps and smiles.

IF anyone does not have a decent UPS then I highly recommend this one.
