Default Getting Started

Hello,

Recently, I began to acquire a liking to the thought of being a DJ and thought that, now that I actually had some money to put behind me, maybe I could finally get around to starting. I would have absolutely no chance of going big right now or maybe even for a long time, more like I might do something small with friends and such until I feel ready to go and put my name out there (I don't know the exact extent to which this would be but I think that might give you an idea).

I am really very new to the whole DJ thing and am mostly looking for good ways to get started without going too hardcore. If anyone has some suggestions or tips I would be most appreciative.
