Default More yes more toys!

A student at Berkley College of Music is perusing studio work and moving away from sound reinforcement. I happen to catch him at the right time. We now own 2 Mackie 1530's self powered speakers, a new Mackie 32*4 channel VLZ Pro mixer (Yes I said 32!), 6 new mic stands, and another Behringer composer pro (compressor and limiter).

We can now do in house sound reinforcement... damage!

Take a look at the pictures on the gallery-other-new section, direct link:

I feel so relived I can post here. I remembered all the posts at djchat and I want to pause and take the time to wish them luck, especially all those who thought daddy paid for all my hard work. Pity.

Thanks Jim for having djso

Alex . . . it was this kind of attitude and comments over at the other boards that brought you all of the grief!

If you can leave that behind, quit the 'jabs' and just speak normally about the issues, you will find no grief here!

There was no attitude in my post other then what I said about those who put me down. It is because you were one of them that you had to comment. I would have kept my mouth shut a long time ago when you first put me down. Not ment to be offensive OR a attitude.

Yeah jim - I want to start marketing for small band sound, untill we get more experienced.

I think its ironic that one can do weddings for $1000 with a couple of "Eons on a Stick"

but these mega-band super audio systems cost a bundle, and take an ARMY of roadies to setup and tear down, making your profit margin very low.

Alex, I applaud your ability to find the gear at a liquidation price since that means the "depreciation" is already being EATEN by the seller. You are one step ahead of the game already!

Now, the "roadies" can be HS students or college INTERNS. Learn how to set-up "internships" or "externships" with educational institutions, and you will obtain a steady stream of FREE HELP that makes your labor costs much lower.

Finally, if you have a younger brother, make sure he becomes one of your employees.....(j/k Steve F)

Or just be like DJMC and get married to a hot latina chick, have a gorgeous daughter who grows up to become your assistant and pay her peanuts!!! hehe
