Strange Night in Maine

I play at a place called the Barnhouse from 8-midnight on Thursdays and the past six weeks no more than 10 people had been in the bar at any one time.

Well, looked like it was going to happen again. We were in our slow mode until just before 11. Bartender sent his help hoime and these two girls walked in (the only two at the time)

"Everybody's coming (from the loacl college) in just a few minutes."

I didn't believe her because they had said this before and made us wait around for nothing.

Well...then four more showed. Then another group of five, seven, four, etc etc etc

Suddenly, there were 100 people crammed into this little bar and the place was hoppin' (Thank God!)

Bartender did a hello of a jon handling everyone by himself.

I stayed an hour later (closing time is 1am in Maine)

Jim, You should make this the tipical night in Maine. Most college kids don't take Friday classes. If you made them feel like it was their bar, they may come back every Tursday Night. Bars here hold college night parties on Thursday. Just name the night after the local college and the kids flock in because it belongs to them.
You could double what you are being paid for the night by making it the only place to be on Thursday. This is how I have approached all of my Club work. The place makes money, I get paid!

Unfortunately there is no college of any type in Grass Valley/Nevada City.
