Default Problems at WeDJ

I'm posting this here because I'm not getting any satisfaction from WeDJ Support and they are claiming that the Support has improved.

I've sent repeated e-mails to Scott about this problem and thus far NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.

There are a plethora of "free listings" who have created multiple e-mail accounts and have multiple free listings in more than one county (which is against the rules)

The vast majority of freebies do not have links back (which is against the rules)

Several of the free listings have direct links to company web site (which is against the rules)

I have provided Scott with a LIST of several offenders over ONE MONTH AGO--- but nothing has been done and those violators still have their free listings!

Getting rid of the dead-wood will do wonders for the PAID members whose leads have dwindled down to almost nothing!

Several Gold and Silver members here in California (and other states) have told me (privately) that they intend to cancel their memberships if this problem isn't fixed.

I myself may down-grade to SILVER for 2004 if these a-holes in the Freebie Section aren't whittled down.

Not taking care of this IMMEDIATELY when the offending parties are known--- is a prime example of the LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE that make DJs say negative things about WeDJ

SCOTT: Please take care of this IMMEDIATELY--- your Gold and Silver listing members will be happier because their leads won't be eroded by those scum-sucking bottom-feeding lowballers who are clogging up the listings.

your not-so-happy camper.....DJ-MC

(I will ask to have this thread removed when I see approximately 200+ free listings removed from California)

I've had a free listing at WEDJ.com since the early days when nobody had ever heard of WEDJ.com!

Matter of fact, when I started . . . all listings were free!

And, I have always maintained my link back to them!

The thanks I've gotten from them for sticking with them is being buried under every other DJ in the state of Colorado that paid for a listing, even though none of them are actually in the same county that I am!

Free or not, I've stuck to the original arrangement that I made with them in good faith, but they have gone for the gold, so to speak!

That's right! I forgot . . .

Money talks . . . BS walks! violin

The problem in California has become pretty severe.

37 days ago: last time on top, I got FOUR solid leads and SIX "anonymous" click-thrus to my web site.

Yesterday (July 23): On top, I got only ONE valid lead (in Southern CA) and TWO "anonymous"

This is graphic evidence of Scott's failure to keep WeDJ at the top of Google/Yahoo/MSN/AOL searches.

Ok Matt...to be fair with Scott.

First, just as Ryan does with Pro DJ, he has 50 states to try and keep on top of and I'm sure his bids reflect that.

It is impossible without spending a major fortune to do that with every keyword. The search engines have recently reranked sites that are listed to enable "fresh blood" so to speak to be found.

How do I know?

On Yahoo I was #1 or #2 for "maine dj" or maine disc jockey, etc...

Now I am #7 or lower.

Every once in awhile adjustments get made so that the internet is an open marketplace and not just for the very few. Of course, to combat this, most use Pay Per Click advertising now on top of the normal free listings.

Everything as you know is very cyclical in this business. Just four months ago, I had a major slump where I had only 3 bookings and 10 leads in 5 months from ALL of my advertising. Suddenly, my luck has changed again.

People are a funny animal. They are not very consistent. Do not take a month or two's results and extrapolate them out. The web doesn;t work that way. In fact, I just recently received two email leads from GreatDJs.net recently which was a pleasant surprise
