Default Did you see the debate with Kevin Colangelo?

Kevin had some problems on a podcast interview with a program called Chat Rash

http://www.djaradio.com

Then, he took it to DJChat so he could 1. self promote and 2. poke at established industry training leaders..

http://www.djchat.com/boards/showthread.php?t=66582

I hope the industry is better for having such great people involved.

John:

You don't know the entire history behind some of Kevin's comments about "the established industry training leaders". One of these "leaders" once called all of Kevin's members bottom feeders. As I am one of Kevin's members, I take offense to that.

Kevin tells you exactly what is on his mind and what his opinions are. Not only can he dish it out, but he can take it as well. But he won't leave you with any misunderstandings about how he feels.

On the DJ Chat thread that is now gone, some folks accused him of an over active ego. I think those folks need to go back and examine their own egos.

I paid the $99 to become one of his members and my ROI is well over 500%. You might call me a mercenary for this but, if they're making me money they must be doing something right.

I have know Kevin and his business for about 3-4 years now. I would agree I don't know his PMs to others, but what I have seen in the semi public forums and on the interview are not the most flattering for himself or his company.

When does "his way" or "that's just him" become just plain tasteless and rude?

In your eyes they are industry leaders but in mine they are just DJs like us and nothing special - I challenge people to respond and I likewise respond..its called debate John - there is nothing wrong with that but what IS wrong is these so called industry leaders calling DJs bottom feeders which in their position is very irrespectable and quite honesty rude and insulting - I stand up for every DJ in this country and treat them with respect irregardless of what you think
