After seeing the response last weekend, then the poll (36 out of 56 asked us to stay as we are), DJ Source Online will continue on
I will research changes to the site that will improve everyone's experiecne here.

Yeah! Keep the ball rolling along! Glad to see so many fellow DJ/KJs have jumped on the wagon. Now if we can keep in mind that the purpose of this board is information sharing for the benefit of the whole, this Board can stay afloat. Too many egos can certainly sink the ship. Controversy is good. Playing "Devil's Advocate" is not.
Some topics that I would like to see discussed: (1) Latino Music. Who plays it (Tropical/Pop/Regional)? If you don't speak or understand Spanish, how does one know if the song is appropriate for play? Is there an English translation for the Title and lyrics of the song?
(2) Video DVD setups for DJ's. Can a Karaoke player also play DVDs? Did I spell the "K" word correctly?
What constitutes a "good" DJ setup for Music Video? Karaoke?
(3) What would a DJ need for a "starter" Karaoke setup? Karaoke music library.
(4) More information on converting from CDs to Digital (MP3?).
Jim, thanks for giving DJSO a new lease on life.

Best of luck Jim. Maybe you will achieve what you are hoping to with DJSO.
As for me, I will pop in occasionally, but that is about it for me. I find this forum to be too USA/New England DJ orientated.
Still going to pop in, but, you need to do MAJOR changes to the forum to make it more "worldly" and appeal to more DJ's from all over. Right now, as alluded to here and elsewhere, the roots for this forum are in New England/USA and many of the posts do have a regional/USA feel to them.
Just my view from up north.

Jim...I am glad to see you are going to continue on here.
I have several ideas for getting the word out about this site that I think may work. Here' goes:
1.) Bring a Friend Onboard Membership Drive: I am willing to even make this worth while here. Let's make it fun. For the next 60 days, everyone who refers a new member here at DJSO will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of my upcoming book "The Business Of Mobile DJing", which is due out next month. Every time you refer someone who joins into this forum, I will put your name into this drawing. On April 1st, I will draw a winner for the book!
2.) Cross promotion links with sponsors: As with DJs and other vendors such as photographers and videographers, why not do a link exchange in lieu of "selling" sponsorships.
3.) You could always bring MC back....... :w00t
Just a couple of ideas....if you want, Jim, I am serious about #1.
