Default Question for all Digital DJ's

Hello All.
I have a couple of questions about digital DJing. I am thinking about getting more involved with it but I still enjoy using my CD and CD players, do any of you miss what some people are calling the old ways of doing things? I have played around with PCDJ Red and like the program I am not sure if the investment right now is for me. Besides not having to carry all the cds what are some pros of converting? Some of you say that going digital lessens the load you have to carry, don't you actually add one more piece with adding the computer or do you not carry cd players for backup anymore? Like I said before I would like to get into this a little more, just trying to weigh the pros and cons from a personal level. Thank you in advance..

The hardest thing for me was to switch from vinyl to cd. After that, I have no problem giving up cd for computer. As for backup, everybody does something different. I carry a walkman type cd player that plays mp3 as my back up. I leave my mp3 players and mp3 cd's in a bag until (so far never) I would need them. As for as programs, there are lots out there and you need to get one that fits your style and needs. As far as computers, people run many different setups. Some run laptops, some run towers like myself and others build rack setups which I understand it probably the best however, I don't and havent' for over 3 years. Finally, I would never go back to vinyl or cd however, the closest thing I am close to viny is my latest purchase of Final Scratch. I have that so I can still put on a show at a rave or club.

I still carry in my CD head for back up and to plug in my PC system and a small case of CD's (in case of a crash that in 3 years has not happened)
Otherwise it's been the best thing since sliced bread.
