Watching all that is happening, I am curious to know if there can be any claims made by DJs to Commercial Brokerage Services (NAME) or RV Nuccio (ADJA)

Anyone from either organization?

I'm sure the flooding would not be covered

For what kind of policy? Under liability, doubtful. Under equipment policy and if damaged, why not?

Most equipment policies wouldn't cover flooding I would think...

Am I wrong?

While setting up the new WeDJ.com Liability Policy, Lou explained to me what is covered in a hurricane situation...

"Acts of God" are not covered on equipment, however if your equipment was stolen because you had to evacuate, it would be covered.

Most policies do not cover flood-related claims. You normally have to get special protection for that.

Now, that being said....

Most homeowners policies that DO include flood protection will normally provide up to $10,000 for "tools of the trade" that are on the property.

FEMA has also provided access to low interest government loans to help repair and rebuild. When completing these forms, make sure to list all your DJ equipment.

Lou Sands probably knows more about the insurance business than any other person on the planet. I am happy to be working with him and learned a lot about insurance while setting up the new WeDJ.com policy.
