They apparently cut and paste from elsewhere...

Reception—Chicago Mart Plaza Holiday Inn A++
I cannot even begin to say how wonderful Barbara Martin is. Everything was perfect. While I think the food was standard wedding fare, I received so many compliments on the food and the cake. The cake was amazing. It came with the hotel package but is made by House of Fine Chocolates. We actually had a medical emergency during the reception, one of our guests died during dinner, and the hotel staff handled everything and of course there was general concern, but the staff ensured tht the party went on and it was a good time. And it was!

Seems a bit contrived... "a guest died" and "the staff made sure that it was a good time" definitely sounds like a stretch or even outright fabrication.

I have had a few medical emergencies while playing functions. Since I've been an EMT for over 25 years and a Professional Firefighter for 16 guess who takes care of that also. I even had a fire break out on the buffet table at one party. Since most of the guests knew I was a FF they all turned and looked at me to do something.

I have not come across to many wait staff personnel who could handle a medical emergency that well except for calling 911. I had one gentleman have a seizure on the dance floor. While I was attending to him one of the staff asked me if I could go up and play some music. I nicely told him I was a little busy at the moment.

Although I've had many people die while on duty as a FF (I've saved many also) I've never lost one yet as a mobile DJ. I've been teaching CPR & first aid for years now. It wouldn't hurt to have that on your resume. It does make people feel a little better knowing that.
