Jason,
how bout looking at it this way. Most of em are dirt bags . If it werent for a few, for instance one young intelligent funny friend I had over there (Jason T.) I would have easily left long ago. remember only the fun times we had raking some of the J ack A sses over the coals telling them their village was looking for them. ITs only a board and as it has been less and less fun when people like Rick, Steve, Jason, Wolfie, Matt and even JA arent their as much. Now if we could only get Tom Hamkens to join us or the Basic Idiot it would be like a class re ONION.
Move on if it lights your fire they win.
Matt you just havent been reading my post replys lately ask JA its probably not been so long since I pissed him off.
Hey John no hard feelings man your Pen is leaking?
Jason Call me if you get a chance

So true John, so true!

I wasn't sure what word I had typed that upset the moderator on DJChat.

I asked but got no reply from anyone in admin there, at first I thought that maybe my use of the word EGO is what upset them and I asked a couple of times if that was it. Still got no response from them. So I asked if it was the word P E N I S that bothered them!

Yep that was it they banned me within ten minutes of asking if that was the word they were upset about.

Even after that no one responded to IM or e-mails sent to them asking for an explanation. So I figured they just didn't want to talk to me. LOL

As for changing my name and email address to get back in..........well I am who I am and it just ain't my style.

Steve,

The plie of crap known as djchat doesn't deserve someone like you there anyhow. Hell I'm not even pissed about it. Funny thing is they unbanned me today. Somehow I just don't want to go back but that's another thread for another time. Betweem my board and this one and the vdj support community djchat doesn't really have much time left for me to waste there.

Jason,

The reason they "unbanned" you is to try and shut you up.

I believe they did the same thing with Jim when they ran him off too.

I have always been a simple man with a straight forward view on life and work. Yes I tend not to pull punches when I feel a punch needs to be thrown, If the emperor is naked I will certainly be one of the first to say so. The problem is that so many people (and it seems to be proportionally higher with DJ's for some reason) feel they are so much better than everyone else.

I don't see myself as anything special I have a job and I do it to the best of my ability. (yes I think I am good at what I do) I think that some people are born with a natural ability to some fields of endeavor. I feel that I am one of those who got lucky in that deparment. Others have a natural ability in other areas and may not be suited for the entertainment field. (there seem to be a high number of people in DJChat that have those "other" abilities.

I am not a computer whiz after a number of years I can still barely figure out how to turn it on. So I don't claim to know anything about them.

I am not a mathematical genius either (that's why they make calculators)

I can't spell or type well. I am not a great comunicator. I am not educated.

What I am is honest and I say what I see as the truth. This seems to really bother people who are full of themselves.

Matt,

I never saw you as being full of yourself, only honest. I believe that you are as down to earth as Fred, Rick and myself.

Folks,

Don't let Steve fool ya. Shirl and I have had the pleasure of meeting with Steve and the missus. They are great hosts. Steve is a top-notch professional entertainer and knows this business better than most. Steve knows his markets better than most of the locals as well.

These online forums provide a locker room for DJs to swap stories, complaints and ideas. They're supposed to be fun. When posts become personal attacks it's not fun anymore and the professionals leave. That leaves the inmates to run the asylum. Harmony Central is a textbook example of this.

By our nature, we're opinionated and impolitic. That's what people expect from entertainers. Entertainment takes the audience away from the humdrum fare of ordinary life for a while.

When it's all said and done, that's what we are paid to do. That being said, we don't have to treat each other poorly.

I have witnessed countless personal vendettas on various bbs forums over the years. I have spent countless hours doing damage control because renegades insist on posting hate and discontent in forums they have no business posting in. I'd prefer to spend my time doing something more beneficial than mopping up after the renegades but I care about this industry.

Some people think that rules are for others. They honestly believe that rules do not apply to them. I respectfully disagree.

I do agree with Steve -- this crazy biz isn't for everyone. Many are called but few are chosen as the old saying goes. It comes from the heart.

I hope it helps.
