Default Final Scratch Program

Has anybody seen, tried or even purchased Final Scratch by Stanton? I've had mine for over 2 months and what a program. It took a few tries to get it up and running because they had some bugs to work out, but what a cool program for club dj's. You can put on a show just as a regular vinyl jock and all your music is on your computer. I, many a times, remixed a song at home and saved it to play later on FS.

I have played with it for some time. TO be candid, I didn't really like it. I have also played with the digiscratch add on on BPM studio, That I did like.

There are some interesting features in both, but for me it is I just am not a turntablist, it holds low appeal to me..

Most users of FS I have talked to have had severe issues getting it going & keeping it going. The ones that have, have been happy with it.

Yes, it had some problems, especially in the beginning. It is alot friendler now with the updates. Plus, if you have no reason to put on a show, IE: record spinning, there is no reason to purchase it. I mainly use it for the clubs I am a resident at and also for guest appearances at other clubs.

i gotta say that i kinda sorta liked the idea of it, i mean you can have this huge library of songs n everything to scratch with.

but then again i played on the pioneers and saw the new denon and i mean they are seriously just like a turntable. only a few things can you not do, drop the needle effects mostly (which suck anyway for needles and djs). i'd say people who are going to spend the 500 on the prog, plus buy a laptop n spend a month loading all their stuff on it so they can spin should take that time and money and buy one of these new decks. they totally rock anyway, plus people in the industry already respect them - prob because of the pioneer name being so hip right now.

anyway, thats just my opinion. i know a few djs out in cali that LOVE the program so just goes to show.

peace

Well, going back to the original idea of going digital, it eliminates you from carring all your records, plus, if you like to put on a show in a club, final scratch will allow you to do this and also look the "norm" as a record spinner.
