Agreed. We've had several clients say "I wish you'd been at our wedding".
I ask why.
"Because you're professional." they reply.
Bottom-feeding isn't necessarily about cost. Cost is a large factor... but there are some very talented entertainers out there who work in low income markets. Likewise, there are dodgy characters in every market.
Set your company apart from the rest. Run a professional business. Provide what you promise and then some. Go the extra mile. Treat every client as though he or she is the most important client you have. Be flexible. Be prepared for changes and roll with 'em. Take the initiative. Smile at all times and treat people as you would wish to be treated in return.
Entertainment and a love for music come from the heart. When the DJ is having fun people can see it. They're watching. Believe me, they see it.
When you do these things... when your heart is in your shows the bottom-dwellers won't matter anymore. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]
