Upcoming DJ Idea Sharing!

Mike asked me to post this tentative info here so that would could get some feedback and response. (Jim please sticky this.)

Mike and I just left a meeting with Nate McKenzie, General Manager of Sam Ash Music of New Haven, CT. It was very productive, and from initial talks, this may be the most incredible DJIS yet. A lot was discussed that I can not mention here yet, but there will be lots of surprizes! This may take DJIS to the next level.

Here is the info I can disclose:

Location is definite: Sam Ash Music 95 Amity Road New Haven CT- Just off Route 15 and nearby I 95.

Tentative Date: Tuesday April 26th (Date of the original DJ IDEA SHARING!!!)

Any feed back or suggestions would be appreciated!

Sounds great to me! I don't know how mwnay folks deal with kids parties/mitzvahs, but I think a presentation on creative ways of handling the little monsters would be great!

yes i would like to see more intractive activites such as games and any new line dances if anyone has any new ones cha cha electric slide and other are lame know anything new for the new year

Critical- there hasn't been much in the way of good new line dances as of late... which is why we really haven't done many at recent events. Hopefully something will pop up before the event.

Everyone- This thread is not only about discussion of what you would like to see.....
Do you have any feedback about the date as well? We want to make sure that the date is a solid one before we commit. There is nothing else going on that day, right?

One thing I would like to see is how to market yourself for the daytime work. As newly fulltime I would love to find ways of playing on a day to day basis. The bubble man has a great Idea for kids. The adult day care centers is another. Maybe sound support for corperate meetings. Anybody with this kind of knoledge with be of great help.

I have played to kids for years. As a dj I have and continue to do many youth dances. As a fire safety educator I even created my own fire safety show with sparky the fire dog, which I performed at all the schools in my community. The only problem was we did it for free. Is there anyone providing things like this now along these lines who would love to share their ideas?
