The first ever conference, known as the DJ Meeting Of The Minds Conference (DJMMC)was held in the Washington DC area in Manassas Virginia. We had lots of networking opportunities there, We had vendors and sponsorship. Mobile Beat gave us a write up on page 16 in September's issue (the current issue) The conference was to get to know our neighbors and how we do things. We are trying to raise the bar for DJ's in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. We talked about whether we were multi-ops or single ops, we talked about gear, we talked rates, we talked about the differences between radio and mobiles and we talked about and this was very funny, hypnosis. We had give aways, T-shirts, Pioneer Dual CD Player, American DJ Vertigo lights etc;. We met vendors and suppliers, computer programmers who do software for DJ's and we had a pretty good list of sponsors. We are looking to make it grow for next time. Here is the link for the new site

The site is still somewhat under construction, but it gives a list of everyone who who participated in the conference. My part in it is that I host the discussion forum for that. Please check it out. You may see some names you know there.
