Honkin' On Bobo!
It's the best album these guys have made since Rocks back in the 70's. It's got a bluesy, but mixed in with the raucous rock and roll that made Aerosmith famous in the first place.
Joe Perry cuts loose on many of the tracks blasting hot solo after hot solo, and Steven Tyler sounds like he is having the time of his life. There's lots of harp, some piano, and uptempo songs galore!
Not a single "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" anywhere!
They previewed a couple of cuts last year when they toured with Kiss and those songs sounded mighty tasty live. On the disc, they sound even better.
Highlights:
A Kick@ss version of Eyesight to the Blind
A smokin' version of Stop Messin' Around
The radio hit Baby, Please Don't Go
A reworking of Aretha Franklin's "I Never Loved A Man" retitled I Never Loved A Girl
The whole album is just kickin'
Highly recommended if you love rock and roll, the blues, Aerosmith, or some combination of the 3.
