Here in the state of Colorado a couple does not need to have an officiate perform their marriage ceremony. All they have to do is go to the county clerk, get the license, sign it along with two witnesses and "POOF" they are married.

On March 20 I was the unofficial officiate for their ceremony. Welcomed all the guests, asked who gives this woman away, asked God to bless the rings and the whole nine yards. It was really neat. They are good friends of mine and we incorporated Liz' son into the ceremony by having Chad (groom) vow to love her son and asked her son to promise to love and obey the groom. Also asked Bradley (the son) to give the groom big hugs whenever Chad made him feel good. Bradley gave Chad a great big hug right then and there. It was awesome.

Almost makes me want to get one of those on-line non-denominational pastor certifications. Pays better than DJing too. A friend of ours gets $450.00 for a 30 minute ceremony.

Diana - Scott's prettier half.

Congrats Diana!

Actually, we have a DJ on DJSO that does perform weddings as an add-on (he is a notary public. Mike Mahoney (known as musicmaniac) is a Notary here and I believe he does his first wedding next month.

DJ Rosie of Rohnert Park, CA is an ordained minister who performs wedding ceremonies in addition to being the DJ.

I guess its a great addition to your services----haven't we seen and heard enough of them to know how to do a good job?

Well the best part is that if you also do ceremonies (sound) then you have a script of the entire event. Just save 'em and plug in whomever's names you are doing.
Works out great. Just modify them a little and away you go.

ps.....She did great.
