I just returned from some gigs in Orlando @ the Peabody...

Flower - $3,000+ (yes one style of flower Bird of Paradise 4 in each of the 300 tables that sat ten and that does not include the fiber-optic lights base and foliage in each centerpieces - I can't tell you how many were on stage with the African wildlife theme)

DJ:

$1500.00 spinning for two hours (I only brought mixing source no equipment)
$175.00 travel
$250.00 night executive suite
$200.00 three cases bottled VOSS water from Norway and food

I made less than one style of flower...

I guess if I had not worn a ball cap, black Nikes, Hawaiian shirt and baggy jeans I would have had more value... :lovesic

This was one of the easiest gigs of my life… I would have liked to have gotten one of the $20,000.00 checks handed out to this companies employees – Damn! Those Canadian software companies are rolling in the doe!

Lito,

That was cool... My son went just to witness that... You have to love the production and voice-over recording... You would think the President was arriving lol.. On the 4th floor where there night home is the open area is where they played soccer a South Africa team vs. England - with a few hundred individuals cheering it was a very cool experience... On that surface and no-one got hurt...

Add some details to your bio area… Where are you located?

I am doing a go-round next week for a Biker club.

Last year they booked me over two nights.. this year I doubled my prices and they booked me for one night.

Basically I am making the same money for half the work as I did last year.. so I think that's a result especially since they noted in their last email of my 100% price increases then booked me!

I obviously repsonded explaining why I increased my prices, which are for very logical and economical reasons such as equipment upgrades and hired help.

It all costs money!

Prof. Jam,

I'm located in Altamonte Springs a suburb north of Orlando, it's just easier to say Orlando,(everybody knows where Orlando is).

My day job is on the same road as Promo Only, so I pass them 4 times a day.
