I admire allot of the guys who participate at these functions... Some are great personalities where others are more like Dance Instructors with egos... If you have never performed or mixed in front of your peers you will not find a more critical group of judges...

I only have issues with the titles handed out at such events - To me a DJ of the Year should also demonstrate their DJing and mixing ability...

I was not even thinking about Sid's crew of friends..... I better go check my web site!

Did anyone here purchase the MP3 CD's Sid was selling? DJ Boom in Ft. Lauderdale is pissed because he was missing over 40 songs from the set Sid sold him and I'm wondering if anyone else has issues with them.

From what he said a personal friend of his has tried to pay a licensing fee to the RIAA and because they have refused it the money is in an escrow account so they are protected... I remember helping Sid in Atlantic City one year and his California friend was selling DJ Tools sets out of the booth that I used to purchase from Mike. I'm under the impression these are legal from what I was told.

I was ripped offed by two con man
1. Sid
2. Bernie
(you know who they are)

They sold me shitty copies of Promo Only Platinum Series on mp3 and DJ tools on mp3...

I am very disapointed in the lack of professionalism and failure to get this resolved
in a timely fashion! When other DJ's ask about what i think of the set I tell the truth..."TRULY DISSATISFIED!"

DOES ANY ONE KNOW ABOUT THE TRUTH BEHIND THE RUMOR THAT PROMO ONLY IS GOING TO RE-RELEASE THE PLATINUM SERIES AS 50 CD SET WITH SPECIAL LICENSING ?
