Related Links On Alexa

I'll move this to the Web Forum soon, but thought it might be a good opportunity to introduce you to this if unfamiliar to you. It is a good site for the most part, accuracy aside, but once in awhile it does some hilarious things...

the reason those "related sites" come up that way is because Web Designers will use Alexa to show off their wares.

After all, its supposed to rate the technical aspects of a site.

One of my DJ buddies in northern CA had his site designed by an outside firm, and his "Related Links" at Alexa are all the other company web sites in the same area that were designed by Proud Llama Web Design.

Actually, that would be a blessing in disguise since there would be less competition, having all those unrelated sites

Don't forget to scan your system with Spybot and Ad-Aware after clicking on Related Site link. Alexa plants spyware on your system to track where you go as soon as you click a link to view results, related sites etc.
