I happended to turn on an infomercial by mistake this evening and saw this new product called "Total Trolley"

$79.90 plus shipping and it seems to take a very good load...

And...it's a 4 in 1

Hand truck, dolly, cart, and a step ladder

And...it's a lot less expensive.

http://www.totaltrolley.com

I think this will be my next purchase.

Be careful. I was following a post elsewhere where a DJ purchased one. He did not have it long when he was using it in step ladder mode to hang some lights on a truss. The 'total trolley' just buckled under him sending him and the lights to the ground and him to the doc with a head injury.

I also read a thread where one guy's total trolley ended up at the bottom of lake michigan!

Though very sad for the DJ concerned, I damn well laughed reading it...

I think it was over on Pro..erm.. DJ.

Apparently many DJs slate them..

Thay guy was setup on thin ice...LOL

And amusingly enough, the same DJ used the Total Trolley as a stepladder. I will bet there is a weight limit (I'm 300 lbs.) I probably wouln;t use as a stepladder.

I bet it's a decent cart though

I have a professional hand truck (one that is for refrigerators, with carpet padding to protect my gear).

I also have a furniture dolly.

Sometimes you need the hand truck (when the inclines are too steep for the dolly)

I had one that was able to convert when I was a kid. I used it to move firewood with. We paid like $35.00 for it in the 80's. We bought it at the chain hardware store.

The thing I don't like about this one is the small wheels. I bought the Rock N Roll Jr last Summer and it has the same small wheels on it. I used it on one gig and almost hurt my back pushing and pulling it on carpeting. It won't roll smoothly with a heavy load.
