Personal copyright is something that happens automatically, though when posting to public web forums, newsgroups, many of them have it disclaimed in the terms & conditions that in agreeing to post or submit information youloose the ownership of the information...

So a copyright signature would mean nothing in those cases.

I'm not too sure on this sites rules about copyright ownership and siezure.

Phil,

The idea goes far beyond a press release & think you might know that. I am not going to argue the points any further. Press releases are always identified as such. This email I believe was not a press release but a transmission to ONLY the members if ProDJ.

Donny,

Have your words & thoughts copied, passed along 3rd, 4th & 5th hand, used inappropraitely, someone get's hurt & suddenly you find yourself receiving legal papers.

Or people quote you out of context. It this day & age it is required. I asked an attorney & he instructed me to have it in all my posts. I don't chose to debate the semantics of it, I simply trust those that know more & follow their advice.

If DJsource online doesn't honor it or respect it then all Jim has to do is inform me of such, delete all my posts as well as my profile. Simple as that. No fight, no arguements.

Jim please let me know your policy on copyright via PM if I am not protected I will be happy to withdraw.

Sure I poked a little fun at it, I tend to humor things.
I think that there are many more products that should have been included not excluded by the choices of moderators.
If it was an honest and fair "DJ Choice" it should have been just that.

Personally, I think that the omission of Virtual DJ's software is a sin.
No they aren't the "big dog" of the industry, but look at the features and success of the product and vote based on that.

But, we can't vote on all products, which makes it somewhat of a bias by someone elses control, that is the picture I get.
Ed made a long list of equipment that deserves a chance just like the next, but that won't happen.

Drax, I understand your position, but the pre-selected finalists tend to steer the voting somewhat.
I don't see this or any other board as competitive. It's just another watering hole for most of us.
Let's be friends, K?

Let's be real too...

There are plenty of things to tease DJ Source Online about:

1. Failure to install the Beta Portal we announced in September
2. DJTV (Enough said)
3. Jim Casey still makes about 90% of posts (OK, not true anymore, but it's still funny)
4. DJ Source Online never dares venture outside of New England (Conventions, etc)

I'm sure we could find more. LOL
