Am I the only nut that does these solo?

I did one this weekend that went very well and would have been great had I remember to bring my Game Show Questions, lighting T-Bar, hula hoops, etc...

I basically made it through fine by adjusting, but YIKES!!! I am my own worst enemy sometimes...

Anyway...do you do these at all...

If so, solo? with one assistant? Dancers and Motivators?

Our basic Mitzvah package is for 3 people (DJ, MC, Dancer/Motivator). I will not book one with any less people.

We are heavy into the games and you definetely need that Dancer/Motivator to help out. No matter what the client tells me that they really don't want many games etc., I know that once I get there and the kids start running all over the placed because they are bored...I will end up doing many games at the clients request.

This was my format on Saturday Night:

7:00-7:30pm Open Dancing/Kids Arriving
7:20pm Human Ring Toss/Hula Worm
7:35pm Open Dancing
7:45pm Karaoke
7:55pm Open Dancing
8:05pm Game Show
8:20pm Open Dancing
8:30pm Huggy Bear (This was very funny - kids kept coming back AFTER they were eliminated, so I stretched it out)
8:45pm Open Dancing
8:55pm Karaoke
9:05pm Open Dancing
9:12pm Straws and Towers Game
9:30pm Open Dancing
9:40pm Relay Race/Mummy Wrap
9:55pm Stairway to Heaven - Last Song

I had played their luncheon earlier in the day from 2-4:30pm and had to be at location 2 for 5:30pm to start at 7:00

Certainly kept them busy/ They were very competitive and this went MUCH MUCH better then my last Bar Mitzvah in 2004. I believe I will be doing three of them this year (all solo)

I figure if I can do 3-5 each year, it will fill in some of the gaps in my schedule.

I have already moved a vacation in November by a day to do one (I was chosen for this one despite being triple the price of the other DJ she had talked with)

BTW...the parents were thrilled with how things turned out on Saturday night!

I was exhausted, but happy
