If a DJ used XYZ artists copywritten material to create a mix it does not make its entirety original work. If a DJ were to create a mix CD using others original works in part or entirety they would still owe license fees on the use.

In the thread in question a link was available to not listen, but download, and an individual did download it and reported they had used the mix during an actual gig… This is a clear case of file sharing.
