I can get no frills my domain webspace for $1/mo, no ads.

Will I run my PRIMARY domain on it? No.

But MOST people register different domain to obtain better search engine ranking (I currently have 10 domain all ranked in the top 5 for their target search phrases) The aforementioned methods DO NOT improve search ranking, You need a totally different site with different copy to accomplish that.

Glen did point out some EXCELLENT points if your trying to buy "variations" of your name.
