Paul,
I had no idea you were an FX user… Let me reply in kind…
1-4, 6, 7,9-13
I see nothing groundbraking here, it merely puts everything into one box. It's the hype and marketing style we have gotten to know from the likes of Apple and MS
Ok…First let’s clear a minor detail… And define what groundbreaking is… I really don’t want to debate on the definition of what “It” is if you get my drift:
Definition: [n] the ceremonial breaking of the ground to formally begin a construction project
Synonyms: groundbreaking
See Also: beginning, ceremony, commencement, start
Now, with that out of the way…
#1..... Yes – Others have been making hardware rack mounted components for years – NO groundbreaking here
#2….. No – I have not seen another controller for CPS DJing on the market. If you have please inform me – YES they have broken ground here which nulls your comments.
#3….. Yes & No – Others have utilized this method, however, they have incorporated a unique approach – YES & NO on this one
#4….. Yes & No – Others have utilized this method, however, they have incorporated a unique approach – YES & NO on this one
#5….. What do you mean by up to debate? Lets be specific and not minimize what is your debate?
#6….. Explain to me what other CPS controller offers this… I could be missing one and seeing how you minimized it you must have facts
#7….. Yes – Others have been jog wheel components for years – NO groundbreaking here
#8….. No – I have not seen another controller for CPS DJing on the market. If you have please inform me – YES they have broken ground here which nulls your comments yet again… I have seen the unit in a dark room and used it with NO problems at all… Have YOU? Your personal opinions with no actual experience is blah, blah, blah… Can you mix from the Keyboard players without a monitor? If your monitor went bad in transportation to the gig do you carry a back-up monitor? Do you not see the benefit? Just because you can use it without the monitor is a unique feature and I guarantee you will see a trend of others going that direction.
#9….. Yes & No – Others have utilized similar methods, however, they have incorporated a unique approach – YES & NO on this one
#10… Explain to me what other CPS controller offers this… I could be missing one and seeing how you minimized it you must have facts
#11… No – I have not seen another controller for CPS DJing on the market. If you have please inform me – YES they have broken ground here which nulls your comments yet again. I suppose you see no benefit in this as well ~~gag~~
#12… Yes & No – Others have utilized this method, however, they have incorporated a unique approach – YES & NO on this one
#13… No – I have not seen another controller for CPS DJing on the market. If you have please inform me – YES they have broken ground here which nulls your comments again. I see a trend that you minimize what you know is unique.. Is the glass half full or empty? Perspective is a great but reality is what makes a Perspective “Fact”
#14… I would hope so as well - But even more important I would hope that when any software or hardware component is sold to us as Professional DJ’s ALL features are operational and I would not have to wait months for critical performance errors to be corrected after making a purchase… If PVDJ released a program not ready for me as a CPS DJ to mix live on during an event I would be all over them… Would you?
#15… I doubt you will believe even when you see it…. You have been very critical over the PVDJ controller are you in NAMM? Have you personally used it? Interesting to say the least but… Time will tell.. Also, ReFlex is a whole other tool… Let’s stay focused.
#16… Say’s who? Where is over here? If you have never heard of Peavey I see no need for President Bush to go to Marrs as you are already there… Peavey is a major player in the music industry which does not only revolve around us DJs…
Let me be very clear… The controller will not be for everyone… The software will not be for everyone… It’s ideal for me, but that’s just me and you have never seen me insult the Numark controller, OTS controller, BPM controller or others, because just as with some individuals I know use Gemini mixers, I use RANE it’s personal preference and it meets my mixing style.. As I promoted two new tools were released at NAMM and they were released operational and if an individual wanted they could walk out of the showroom with one and mix a gig tonight which is what we all should expect from the tools we use. Weather you wish to believe it or not they broke into some new ground which I’m sure others will follow…
