I run JBL SRX mid/highs and Eminence KiloMax 18"s

CD EQ is a common term used for the extra upswing in the highs you need to make Constant Directivity horns sound flat.

I think we may have misunderstood Peavey a little. When they say filter they must mean the high pass filter for the horn/driver. You write the crossover is 150hz down for the woofers, no way! that would mean every thing from 150Hz and up is sent to the horn/driver.
the lowest recomended x-over for the 22xt is 500hz

Are you sure they didn't say 1500hz this would make much more sense.

Subs are driven 150hz and down depending on the room.

Also comp/limiters will make the audio more sustained that is the compressor will make the quiet sounds louder thus the total rms power greater. A mis setup compressor will fry amps and speakers very quickly.

Anyway make sure you are clear about BI-amping before firing things up. And when you do keep the voulue real low while you test.
