I got another idea.
Do you leave any of your mike channel faders up when a wireless mic transmitter is off?
Some lesser wireless mic receivers have no mute/squelch when the mic trans. is off. Or on better ones the mute/squlech needs adjusting.

I used to use low model Nady VHF mics and when the squelch opened with no transmitter "on" the noise was so intense it would leak through my DM1800 and out the output even with the mic fader down.

Also those EON's have very hot HF horns and drivers they may be intensifying the high end noise of the BBE.
