Coffin vs. Box
I know with war looming and such this is such a trivial topic, but when I use my coffin with 2 ADJ Pro Scatches & middle 19" Numark mixer, I get more "Can I have your businesscard" inquiries, than when I take along my SKB 8 space 'box' with dual cd players, power cond, amp and small Numark
scratch mixer in a laptop computer case. Is it that people like watching you load cd's? Maybe standing behind a box may seem like youre hiding? I hate lugging around the coffin, it weighs more and its hard on my back. The box weighs alot too but on a handcart, its easy to manuever. I take each system out every other gig and the gigs are varied as well.
Of course, the ADJ Pro Scratch players do more, but I don't use the efx much because
it gets old fast. In fact at weddings, I never use the efx, I just mix like on a dual cd player. Your views---coffin vs. box. shrug
