Arrow UPDATE - 1 week away!

Hello fellow DJs and colleagues,

Since April of 2001, DJ Idea Sharing has been educating and uniting DJs in the New England region. Often copied, DJ Idea Sharing is the original networking event that started DJs learning together from Connecticut to Maine (and with DJs from outside of New England as well.)

The early original "Idea Sharing Nights" of 2001-2002 had a focus on intimate networking and education in a peer-to-peer format. The later DJIS events of 2003-2005 moved to DJ equipment dealers which allowed for a more fun environment with gear deals, giveaways, and more product demos. It also allowed for us to bring in special guest speakers from outside the region. In 2006, the "Fishbowl" added a new dimension to the feel and focus of earlier events, but the topics discussed were selected by those in attendance! Larger production DJ
Idea Sharing events were held in conjunction with Mobile Beat's summer shows in Cromwell in 2006 and Sturbridge in 2007 featuring a huge
lineup of guest speakers and industry leaders.

So what's now in store for DJ Idea Sharing? Well, our goal is to go back to the roots of what made DJIS the productive, rewarding, and fun event it is. It is time to go "Back to Basics" by revisiting several successful concepts from DJ Idea Sharing's past and bringing them together.

DJ Idea Sharing returns to its home in New England on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007 at Electronic Bargains.

Unlike the Mobile Beat collaborations, this event will not feature a large lineup of guest speakers - Instead, we will feature a "surprise"
guest speaker. The event will include product demos from Cortex and Denon's hot new 4500 pc/mac controller. GCI CEO Alan Cabasso will also be on hand. The bulk of the evening will follow a "Fishbowl" style, where topics and questions are selected by the attendees and moderated by Rob Peters & Mike Fernino. No doubt you will leave having learned something, which is always the goal of a DJ Idea Sharing event.

Huge thanks go out to Mike and Brian from EB for hosting one of the most successful DJIS events in our history back in 2004 and for
allowing us to come back again for a repeat performance! Additional thanks go out to Alan Cabasso of GCI and Silvio Zeppieri of Denon DJ.

Finally, We would be remiss if we didn't mention the event co-sponsor, the newly formed New England Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association. Their next meeting will be featured prior to DJ Idea
Sharing, running from 6:30pm sharp until 7:00pm. Anyone who would like to see what the New England ADJA is up to, is more than welcome to attend, but not required to. The chapter does not want to push its agenda on anyone who is not interested. After 7pm it's all DJ Idea Sharing.

As usual, DJ Idea Sharing is open to all DJs and members of ADJA, CPDA, MADJAM, OSDJA, NAME, MDJN, other organizations, and non-members alike!

We hope to see everyone at this fun and exciting event. We are happy to be able to bring back this event to New England where it belongs!
